Our expertise

30 years of experience

JG Aviation, 30 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of aircraft and continuing airworthiness. The JG Aviation aircraft maintenance workshop meets the requirements of the DGCA and the EASA Part 145 & Part M & Camo +.

The JG Aviation maintenance and aircraft repair workshop is based in Franche-Comté on the Gray Saint Adrien airfield.

Our story

JG Aviation’s Story

Firstly a workshop on maintenance of old aircraft, now it employs aeronautical mechanics able to work on any type of certified single engine aircraft or twin-piston/turbine aircraft below 5.7 tones.

JG Aviation in a few key dates:

1980 : Creation of an aircraft maintenance workshop for the repair and restoration of old planes

1995 : Creation of JG Aviation, “J” for Jules Engel and “G” for Gilbert Salfati

2007 : On the death of Jules Engel, Gilbert Salfati took over JG Aviation

2012 : PART 145 approval: the greatest European approval

2015 : Pilatus PC-12 Service Center

2018 : Pilatus PC-24 Service Center

Our team

A team of professional

The JG Aviation aircraft maintenance workshop consists of a team of 17 people who can assume a workload meeting Part 145 and Part M on more than 40 types of aircraft.

This team is composed of:

A foreman with 30 years of experience in aircraft maintenance
A quality responsible
An official responsible for monitoring airworthiness
Seven mechanics Part 66 B1 and B2
Three mechanics assistants
Four persons for the management of continuing airworthiness tasks
This technical team is supported for the administrative and financial management by the general manager Mr. Gilbert Salfati

The JG Aviation aircraft maintenance workshop consists of a team of 11 people who can assume a workload meeting Part 145 and “G+I” on more than 40 types of aircraft.

This team is composed of:

A foreman with 25 years of experience in aircraft maintenance (Part 66 B1-1 and B1-2)
A quality responsible Part 66 B2
A quality assistant
An official responsible for monitoring airworthiness (a former engineer in ALT)
Three mechanics Part 66 B3
Two mechanics assistants
This technical team is supported for the administrative and financial management by the manager of the company Mr. Gilbert Salfati

An Ideal geographic location

Based near the town of Gray in Haute-Saône, JG Aviation is situated in an ideal geographical location between France, Switzerland and Germany, 30 minutes from the TGV station of Dijon (Dijon – Paris in 1h30), 30 minutes from Besançon and 2h30 from Geneva.

JG Aviation is based at Gray St Adrien airfield:

– Night Marking

Modern infrastructure and facilities

Buildings and newer equipment allow accomplishing maintenance in an appropriate environment with regards to quality and security with hangars of 4000 m2. A rest room is also available to pilots.
